The machine screw nut simply drops into the pre-cut slot and will give you a nice action suitable for both fretted and slide playing. It's very simple to raise the action should you wish by putting in a shim of veneer or thin plastic in the nut slot, or you can lower it by filing the slot a little deeper for super-low action.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese necks are available in 3 sizes, to suit long (280-300mm), medium (240-275mm) or short (220-240mm) boxes.
