Product Description

Our simplest and most basic guitars, the "Workshop Series". Bright red crackle paint finish over veneered ply box with aged zinc plated fixing brackets and handpainted "Born Under a Bad Sign" lettering. Derived from our highly successful "Make and Play" workshop guitars, these offer genuine play-ability and great tone at a bargain price.

Yellow Poplar through neck with "backstrap" thru' body reinforcement, blackwood fretboard with Van Gent nickel silver jumbo fretwire. Traditional block face marking with white edge position markers with a machine screw nut. Our guitar necks are fully profiled by hand using traditional methods for great playability and comfortable in-the-hand feel. Finished with shellac, hand-rubbed gunstock oil and a final wax coat finish. 

25 1/2 inch scale length, Zilpha nickelwound strings. Tuned G D G.

Single coil strat-style pickup wired direct to a high quality Neutrik jack.

Super quality bronze "Sta-Tite" vintage pattern open back machine heads.

Walnut fretwire bridge. 

Black strap buttons.

Please note we are a small family business not Amazon, and that whilst we aim to pick, quality check and pack all orders within two working days, due to limited man power and time, orders may be delayed a little at busy times and weekends. Orders placed on Friday will not be packed until the following Monday to be sent out either on Monday or to be collected by our couriers on Tuesday. Please bear with us, we try to do our best!

Delivery times for orders are from the time of dispatch, not from the time of order placement. The time given for shipping is an estimate and not a guarantee.

You will receive an email from us once your order has been dispatched (this email will sometimes be sent to your spam folder). You may also receive an email from the courier with any updates on your order delivery time. If you have provided a phone number with your order you may also receive this information by message.
